Jury service is a crucial part of Victoria's justice system. Juries are made up of citizens randomly selected from the Victorian Electoral Roll. Every year, thousands of Victorians give their time to attend jury service. Most find the experience interesting and valuable.
While jury service is a great opportunity to learn about the justice system, its greatest strength is giving members of our community the opportunity to participate in, and contribute to, the administration of justice.
In this section of the website, you can find out everything you need to know at every stage of the process if you have been selected as a potential juror:
- Received a jury questionnaire?
- Received a jury summons?
- Jury selection process

- During trial
- After trial
Note: If you have been selected as a juror, please visit our public portal at juries.vic.gov.au to complete your Eligibility Form, update your details or check your status.
If you have an employee who has received a jury summons, please see our Employers page to find out about what to expect and your legal obligations.
